2231  Zakudimba Producers and Marketing Cooperative Society (ZAPCO) A registered cooperative society located in Bvumbwe, that promotes smallholder vegetable production as a means of enhancing the economic sustainability and food security of the rural communities in Bvumbwe and Thyolo districts. The grant will assist with preparing a comprehensive business plan; training 75 farmers on business management and development; training 15 farmer Zone Leaders on group dynamics and leadership skills; purchasing protective clothing, packaging and labeling materials for processing vegetables; training staff on food production techniques and machinery operation; and purchasing a backup generator for continued operation of cold storage room during electricity outages. $97,147 10-Sep 12-Mar
2234 Nkhotakota Smallholder Farmers Joint Association Limited (NKKSFA )  A registered cooperative society located in Nkhotakota, Malawi that provides technical support to smallholder farmers for the growing and marketing of rice. ADF funds will assist with improving product quality through acquisition of fertilizers and good quality seeds; initiating processing operations through acquisition of rice milling machinery; constructing a warehouse for storing milled and un-milled rice; providing farmers with access to high quality inputs through a revolving loan fund; training farmers in best agronomic practices and providing them with extension services. $199,906 10-Sep 13-Sep
